6 slices of French bread toasted to perfection
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter or margarine

Beat the eggs lightly
Add milk, granulated sugar, nutmeg, and orange liqueur; stir well
Soak each slice of French toast in this mixture, one at a time
Melt the butter
Dip both sides of the bread slices in the egg mixture, then coat with melted butter
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar
Serve 3-4 pieces.
