1 cup of almonds, sliced

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of Jamaican pepper in grinds
4 medium pears, sliced
16 dried figs, cut into strips lengthwise

Preheat the oven to high temperature
Pit the pears, remove the core, slice, and reserve
In a small baking dish, spread the almond slices and toast for about 5 minutes
Remove from the oven and reserve
Keep the oven on
In a large round form, combine the pecans and butter
Place over medium heat, stirring until caramelized
Remove from the heat
Add vanilla extract, Jamaican pepper, dried figs, and pears, mixing well
Bake, stirring occasionally, until the pear is tender (about 30 minutes)
Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with almond slices
Allow to cool and serve with whipped cream and lemon juice.
