Mix the ground beef, salt, and pepper
Shape into 5 flat meatballs
Fry or grill them until they're brown
Cut the meatballs in half
Toast them and cover the bottom half with a slice of cheese
Melt the cheese on the grill
Top each meatball with a slice of cheese, some ground beef, salt, pepper, and pickles
Serve for 5 people
Variations: Add mustard to the burger and don't put cheese or pickles
Mix together shredded lettuce, 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise, and '1/2 teaspoon mustard'
Spread over the meatballs and serve with the burgers
Top the beef with a slice of grilled onion
Remove the pickles and add two tablespoons of toasted sunflower seeds or chopped nuts.
