Toast the bread slices lightly
Mix the mustard and lemon juice
Spread over the bread slices
Cut the sausages in half lengthwise and place 4 halves with the cut side down on the bread slices
Mix the mayonnaise with the beetroot or rutabaga
Add the beetroot slices
Spread over the sausages
Finally, cover with cheese slices
Place in a hot oven preheated to 200°C for about 10 minutes
