Line the bottoms of individual cups with sliced strawberries and dust with sugar. Soak with a little rum, orange liqueur or brandy. Cover with firm whipped cream. Top it all off with a meringue made by whipping 1 egg white to 2 tablespoons of sugar. Place in a hot oven (not simultaneously) for a few minutes until the meringue browns. If the whipped cream is not very firm, chill in the freezer before serving.
