Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into pieces
Grate the carrots and cut them into pieces
Peel the onion and cut it in half
Put everything in a pot
Add 2 1/2 cups of broth and paprika, and simmer until the sweet potatoes and carrots are cooked
Strain through a sieve or blender and add the remaining 2 1/2 cups of broth
