1 cup of dried damsons

1 cup of fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/3 cup of sugar

Place the ground beef in a bowl
Add the finely chopped onion and seasonings, and mix well
Make small meatballs
Put the water in a pot
Add the salt and rice, and cook for 15 minutes
While this is happening, fry the finely chopped onion in butter and set aside
Add the dried black plums to the water with the rice and cook for another 15 minutes
Add the meatballs, damsons, almonds, parsley, and fried onion
Let it simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes
Add the vinegar and sugar and cook for another 15 minutes
Finely chop the fresh parsley and add to the soup just before removing from heat
Check the seasoning.
