Three-quarters cup of sugar
One and three-fourths cups of water
One cup of grape juice
Two spoonsful of lemon juice
One tablespoon of grated orange zest

Combine the sugar and water
Whisk well and bring to a boil
Let it simmer for 8 minutes, then let it cool
Stir in the grape juice, lemon juice, and grated orange zest
Pour the mixture into a freezer tray and refrigerate until partially frozen
Crush the frozen mixture with a fork or potato masher to break up any ice crystals
Return the mixture to the freezer until fully frozen, but not too hard
Serve in bowls
