Margarine (for greasing)
1 package of English biscuits (180 g) crushed
300 g of semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces
1 tablet of cream cheese (227 g)
1 cup of sugar (180 g)
1 1/2 cups of heavy cream (360 ml) mixed with
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
150 g of semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces (for decorating)

Preheat the oven to 180°C (medium)
Grease the bottom and sides of a 25 cm diameter cake pan with margarine
Spread the crushed English biscuits over the prepared pan, pressing them down with your fingers
In a heatproof bowl placed over a saucepan of hot water (do not let it boil), melt the chocolate, stirring gently. Reserve
In a processor or blender, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth
Add the heavy cream with lemon juice, eggs, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract
Join the reserved chocolate and mix, linking and unlinking the appliance several times (in the liquidizer, use the pulse button)
Transfer to the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the center is creamy and the cake starts to crack around the edges
Remove and let it cool completely
Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least one day or for 6 hours, minimum
To unmold, run a knife around the edges of the pan and flip it onto a plate. Reserve
In a heatproof bowl placed over a saucepan of hot water (do not let it boil), melt the chocolate, stirring gently
Place it in a bag with a fine tip
Remove the parchment paper from the cake and decorate by making chocolate strips
Serves immediately
