Dough
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon cold milk
Filling
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup black currant jam

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup pecan halves

Dough
In a bowl, whisk together the flour and sugar
Add the melted butter and mix until a crumbly mixture forms
Beat in the eggs and milk
Knead the dough into a ball
Roll out the dough to a 25cm diameter circle and place in a greased 9-inch springform pan
Poke holes with a fork
Filling
In an electric mixer, beat together the butter and brown sugar until smooth
Beat in the eggs, one at a time
Mix in the pecan halves and currant jam
Place over the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about an hour or until golden brown
Let cool, then remove from pan and dust with confectioner's sugar.
