1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 cup damson gelato
125g unsalted butter
1/2 cup almond meal
1/4 cup crumbled biscuit or cake crumbs
1/4 cup sliced almonds (or you can use caju as well)

Sift the flour into a bowl
Add the butter or margarine to small pieces and mix until it forms a granulated consistency
Beat one egg and add it to the previous mixture, mixing lightly until a ball forms
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour
Roll out the dough very thinly over a floured surface, then place into a medium-sized cake pan
Drip the gelato over the dough
Heat the oven
Beat the butter, add the almond meal, beating until foamy
Add the remaining eggs and beat well
Add the crumbs and nuts, beating again
Spoon over the gelato
Bake for 30 minutes or until the top has acquired a delicate golden color.
