1 cup dried Damascus fruits
2/3 cup rum
1/2 cup water
2 cups desiccated coconut
1/3 cup honey

In a saucepan, combine the dried Damascus fruits, rum, water, and bring to a boil
Cook until the fruits are soft
Strain, finely chop with a knife or pass through a food processor or grinder
Add 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut and honey
Mix well until a consistent dough forms
Shape into balls using 1/2 tablespoonful for each, and coat in the remaining coconut
Place in molds, then in gift boxes
Can be made up to 7 days in advance
Store in refrigerator
Yield: 34 units.
