Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the yolks mixed with sugar and flour
Grease a tube pan well and dust it with all-purpose flour
Pour the batter in and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let the cake cool before cutting it in half lengthwise
Spread whipped cream over each half, then place three slices of pineapple that have been soaked in rum and sugar mixture on top
Assemble the cake by placing one half on top of the other, and spread the remaining whipped cream and pineapple slices over the top
