Peel the onions and cook them whole in water and salt, without letting them get too soft
Prepare the white sauce by melting the butter and mixing it with wheat flour
Mix well and add milk and seasonings, stirring so it doesn't curdle
Place the onions on a platter, cover them with the white sauce, and serve hot.
