'1 1/2 cups of freshly ground breadcrumbs'

1/2 cup of finely chopped prosciutto or mortadella
1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons of melted butter
1/2 cup of chicken or beef broth
12 thin slices of beef faggot

Mix the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, parsley, and prosciutto
Melt the butter
Fry the onion for a few minutes, without browning
Add the breadcrumb mixture and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently
Spread a thin layer of this mixture over each slice of faggot
Roll up and secure with toothpick or twine
Arrange in a refractory dish greased
Pour the broth on top
Cover with aluminum foil
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for 35-40 minutes
Add more broth if needed
Before serving, do not forget to remove the toothpicks or twine
