Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl
Add the butter or margarine
Mix until it forms a thick dough
Add the egg and mix until a ball forms with the mass
Place the dough in the center of an 18 cm diameter greased mold
Using the palm of your hand, press the ball into the mold, spreading the dough evenly to about 1 cm thickness
Cut into slices and dust with sugar
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for about 25 minutes, or until the mass is lightly golden
Serve with fruit gelato, makes 8 servings.
