3/4 cup of heavy cream, fresh or canned
2 tablespoons of cognac

Break the chocolate into pieces
Combine with heavy cream and cognac in a bowl
Place over low heat and stir until the chocolate melts
Transfer to a fondue pot and serve by the candle's flame
Dippers for the fondue: strawberries, blueberries, apricots, bananas, figs, and wafers.
