Dissolve the flour in half a liter of water

Boil the remaining water with sugar and butter until it reaches a soft-ball stage (when the thread can be easily broken)
Remove from heat and let cool

Add the crystallized orange marmalade, dissolved flour mixture, ground almonds, and lightly beaten egg whites
Mix well

Pour the mixture into the mini muffin liners and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (very hot) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
