1/2 cup chopped onion (75g)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablet beef broth dissolved in 2 cups hot water (480ml)
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
a pinch of cayenne pepper

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat
Mix in the onion and cook, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon, until it's soft (about 5 minutes)
Add the flour and stir well
Add the beef broth and stir
Add the remaining ingredients and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly (approximately 3 minutes)
Transfer to a serving bowl
Serve at room temperature
