In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 1/4 cup of butter or margarine, and to taste salt
Let it simmer until it thickens
Add the semolina to the remaining milk, mix well, and add it to the simmering milk
Continue stirring until it thickens
Cook without stopping, until it thickens
Remove from heat, add the egg, 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and mix well
Place the dough in a square mold, let it cool, and refrigerate until firm
Heat the oven to strong temperature (200°F)
Cut the dough into small rolls or squares, and arrange them in a greased baking dish, overlapping slightly in layers
Melt the remaining butter or margarine and pour it over the dough in the baking dish
Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese
Bake until golden brown for about 25 minutes
Serve 4 to 6 portions.
