1 Bengal bread or filé, 1/2 cup herb butter, 1 large garlic clove well mashed, 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, Salt and pepper to taste
1 Bengal bread or filé, 1/2 cup herb butter, 1 large garlic clove well mashed, 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven
Cut the bread into slices, but not at the bottom so they don't separate
Beat the butter with the remaining ingredients and spread the mixture on the cut part of the slices
Place the bread in a baking dish and heat for about 10 minutes
Serve warm
If you don't want to wash the baking dish, wrap the bread in aluminum foil leaving it open at the top
