1/2 pound of Confectioner's Glaze
3 tablespoons of Karo Syrup
3 tablespoons of water
1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract
Real Glaze
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3 1/2 teaspoons of Confectioner's Glaze
1/2 pound of Confectioner's Glaze
3 tablespoons of Karo Syrup
3 tablespoons of water
1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract
Real Glaze
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3 1/2 teaspoons of Confectioner's Glaze
Mix together the 1/2 pound of Confectioner's Glaze, Karo Syrup, and water, and place it in a double boiler
Do not let the water boil to prevent the mixture from losing its sheen
Stir occasionally until the glaze dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth
Remove from heat but keep the mixture over warm water to prevent it from setting
Add lemon extract
To make white rodelinhas, allow half of the mixture to cool in a 2 1/2 cm diameter ring mold on a baking sheet
Allow to firm up
To make pink rodelinhas, add red food coloring to the remaining half of the mixture and pour it into another ring mold, allowing it to firm up as well
Decorate all rodelinhas with a leaf or design made from real glaze
How to make real glaze: Beat egg whites with lemon juice until frothy
Add Confectioner's Glaze gradually, beating until the glaze is firm (cutting a knife through it leaves a mark).
