For the seasoning:
'1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil'

For the salad:
'2 medium green peppers, seeded and cut into 1 cm wide strips'
'2 medium red peppers, seeded and cut into 1 cm wide strips'
'250g of canned mushrooms, sliced into 0.5 cm thick pieces'
'1/2 cup pitted black olives, small or large, halved'

Mix all the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined
In another large bowl, combine the peppers, mushrooms, and olives
Pour the seasoning mixture over the salad, mixing gently but thoroughly
Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight
To serve, arrange on a platter
