6 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons of lime juice
3/4 cup of all-purpose flour, sifted

6 tablespoons of butter, softened
1/4 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Preheat the oven
Peel and cube the sweet potatoes, removing any seeds
Cut them into slices
Combine 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lime juice
Mix well and pour into a baking dish or mold with a capacity of 1 1/2 liters
Mix the remaining sugar, flour, salt, and butter until it has a granular consistency
Add the chopped nuts and sprinkle evenly over the sweet potatoes
Bake in a moderate oven for about 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired
Cut into 6 portions.
