In a large pot, bring 3 liters of water to a boil with 1 tablespoon of salt over high heat
Add the macaroni and cook without covering until al dente (10 minutes)
Prepare the sauce: in a medium pot, bring all ingredients to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the tomato is well cooked (about 10 minutes)
Drain the macaroni, transfer it to a bowl, add the sauce and mix
Garnish with Parmesan cheese shavings and serve immediately
