200g all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of chopped chocolate
125g unsalted butter or margarine, softened
100g confectioner's sugar
1 egg, separated
100g granulated sugar
100g chopped nuts

Combine the flour and chocolate in a bowl
Add the softened butter or margarine
Beat together the granulated sugar and egg whites until stiff peaks form
Shape the dough into a rectangle about 20cm long
Chop the nuts
Whisk the confectioner's sugar and spread it evenly over the top of the dough in the baking dish, sprinkling with chopped nuts
Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and cut into rectangular shapes
