Place the clean and trimmed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in a refrigerator container
Microwave on high for 10 minutes. Reserve
In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and chopped onion
Cook on high for 1 minute
Add the flour and cheese
Mix well., add a little milk, mix again, and bake in the oven for another minute
Add more milk, mix well, and cook for an additional minute
Mix well, pour in the remaining milk, and cook for an additional 3 minutes
Halfway through this time, mix again and season with salt
Serve the creamy sauce over the vegetables or use it to drizzle.
